Life is a Challenge!

Rubi - our Friendly Next Door Rottweiler

Went round to see our neighbours this morning and asked if I could photograph Rubi, their lovely Rottie. Rubi is over 6 years old, but in her mind she is still a puppy! She is SO friendly, I would have got licked to death if R hadn't made her get in her basket.

However, despite her friendliness, and I know that I am safe while R and S are there, we are glad to have a high fence between our gardens, as I am not so sure she would be quite as friendly if her owners weren't around.

John once saw a fox jump over the fence from our garden into theirs, but it soon came back over the fence when it encountered Rubi.

Our neighbours are absolutely fantastic - they take in parcels if we are not around, help out when they can and look after our house when we go away - although we don't "live in each other's pockets" we know they are there if we ever want anything and vice versa.

We are truly blessed to have great neighbours in our small cul de sac - and we try to be good neighbours too.

Here is a simple, rule-of-thumb guide for behavior: Ask yourself what you want people to do for you, then grab the initiative and do it for them.

Isn't that what life is all about?

Enjoy your weekend, blippers.
