Pig with a perm

N and I received the phone call to go to get our jag today in the church hall in the nearby village of Salen, 11 miles away. Between our trip out yesterday and this one today, this is the furthest we have travelled within a 48 hour period since last November.
As we drove through Glen Aros, we spotted these curly haired pigs which we had heard about but not seen until today. Apparently they are a Hungarian breed of pig called Mangalica and this is the only pig breed noted for its long curly hair since the Lincolnshire Curly Coat pig became extinct in the 1970s. We spent quite a while watching them as they are quite delightful and are making a good job of clearing the bracken and other undergrowth from the land.
