When took Mum’s shopping over to her today I had another look in the tin and took out the cigarette case belonging to my Grandpa to bring home to clean up. It has cleaned up wonderfully.

The surprise was the initials that emerged of MCF 1921. So it’s 100 years old. I now see that my grandmother prob gave him this as a birthday present on his birthday on April 1921, she was 19 and he was 31. We looked up the hallmark and it was made in Birmingham in 1919.

Watching White House Farm drama. I remember this case and the awful murders. I’m frustrated at the cop in charge of the case determined to have it marked as a murder/suicide. And as for the brother........
