Important info

I finally managed to get the back off the Estey Organ and discovered the maker's label.  It seems it's quite an important bit of info for the history of the Estey Organ.

First of all there is an actual date: October 1891, and also it's number.  These numbers are unique to each organ and help to date it very precisely.

I told the organ expert here in Adelaide and he got quite excited.  He's going to come up and have a look to see how much it would cost to make it playable again. Wouldn't it be marvellous if we could get someone to play it during History Month this coming May!

We already have someone to play the 1843 Warnum and the Sir Ross & Keith Smith 1890's pianos.

Music everywhere.
