Gaza War

Our organisation was involved in organising a conference to dicuss the effects and consequences of the war in November and how the people of Gaza should move forward.

Richard Falk, the UN Special Rapporteur on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territory, spoke via Skype videolink. Unfortunately, his presentation was interrupted at times due to poor internet connection, but his intervention was very worthwhile.

In the middle of this photograph is my boss, the Director of the Palestinian Centre for Human Rights, Raji Sourani. He is a stalwart supporter of human rights and a dedicated defender of the right to justice and accountability for Palestinian victims of human rights violations.

On the right is Dr Desmond Travers, a military expert from my own country of Ireland. He served on the Goldstone Commission and is conducting excellent analysis of the ongoing attacks on the Gaza Strip by Israel.
