IMSA AT ROAD AMERICA

This is what happens when one driver gets too close to the driver in front of him. Most of the smoke is from tires being shredded by the bent up body work. He'll be allowed to continue around the track until 1) he finds a convenient place to exit or 2) his tires shred completely and then he'll pull off to the side and wait until safety and the rollback arrive to cart him off. They wouldn't want the tire rims chewing up the track surface....thus the ride back to the paddock.

BTW...that body is all carbon fiber. Very expensive.
