SILLY SATURDAY - WOOLLY JUMPERS!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We heard Mr. and Mrs. HCB moving lots of stuff around this morning, so we decided to find somewhere to play and discovered that Mrs. HCB had bought a very large plastic box so that she could put all her knitting wool in it.

We clambered in and had a lovely time jumping around in the soft and bouncy wool - well, we knew we wouldn’t get any other exercise today because yet again, it is raining "cats and dogs" so Mrs. HCB won’t be going out for her walk although it looks as if it is brightening up a little.

We wonder, just as Mr. HCB does, why Mrs. HCB needs so much wool, although she has been knitting a lot just lately and has finished another jumper for a little boy’s birthday.  She is now knitting more of her famous fingerless gloves, so I guess the wool stock does go down quite quickly.

We know she was quite upset this week because in one ball of wool she found at least three knots - and it wasn’t cheap wool either.   However, she wrote to the company, called Lovecrafts and they are going to send her two balls of the same wool to replace the knotty ones - which she is very pleased about and says a lot about the company.

Mr. HCB is still like "a bear with a sore head "- I wonder who coined that expression - as he can’t get out into the garden or greenhouse because of the awful weather, so I wonder if you can guess what he’s doing?  You guessed right - another jigsaw puzzle so between puzzling and knitting, Mr. and Mrs. HCB are keeping busy.

We hope everyone is keeping well - and of course, we are all looking forward to hearing what is going to happen about coming out of this lockdown.  Stay safe and have a lovely weekend.  We will get through this - and we will all be stronger!

Love from

JH Ted and friends

P.S.  Mrs HCB rang a friend last night and he obviously reads her Blips, because he said "Oh, I'm obviously on your list!"  They had a lovely chat and both said how good it will be when they can meet again.
