River Blackwater

Looking on a mapping app for some different walk ideas (as one does in these strange times) I noted that one of my favourite shorter walks along the River Blackwater through Shepherd Meadows could be extended towards the Sandhurst lakes area, so today I investigated.

The 'new' route takes one over the railway bridge. Before crossing I was struck by the view under the railway bridge.  There has clearly been some work in this area as I have never seen such an open view. It seemed prime for a B&W conversion.
