Strange place to find a tap!

Went out for a little socially distance walk with Paulina today and decided to vist Mill Hill Quary.  It was really beautiful with all the spring flower starting to appear.  

In the middle of the grassy area a few hundred feet from the entrance stan ds this tap, on a standpipe with nothing else around.  It obviously isn't working but it is evidence from the ear on the top that everyone tries it.  I think it might be left from when the site was an active lime kiln.  Whatever  the reason for it being there it really made me smile.
