Another Flower

Quite a lot of today was faffing around with an orb mosaic and getting the images right.  John Gravett has an excellent tutorial on his you tube channel explaining how to do this.  It is fiddly (as he says) but well worth it.  The faffing comes in when choosing and placing the 24 images needed for the grid; it is a bit mind bending! Applying the polar coordinates filter is fun.  I've no idea why it does what it does but the overall effect is fascinating.  There is a black & white themed competition at camera club soon and I thought an orb mosaic would be different using all b&w pics from the Brigit Riley exhibition on at South Bank last year,

So, at the end of the day, after a meal with our son, I had no blip. I think this flower is a freesia - great colour whatever it is so has become today's blip..  These flowers are too good to waste - beautiful to look at and they pose well in front of the camera.
