Sgwarnog: In the Field

Habituated

I presume the Grey Heron down at Denso-Marston nature reserve is somewhat habituated to human presence; certainly it showed no inclination to move on when I arrived on the path a few feet away from where it was hunting for frogs in the reeds.

I managed a quick visit down to the river and back for my lunchtime walk, pairs of Little Grebe and Goosander were further wildlife highlights.

And I thought I'd better keep a close eye on any Boeing 777s above my neighbourhood. I expect the only one that I saw (extra) - TK1 Istanbul to New York - doesn't have the same sort of engine that fell out of the sky over Denver yesterday.
