Impermanent Island

The day was so lovely, we had to get out for a walk; this view of Monsaraz is from under a holm oak just below the São Sebastião chapel, on the next ridge to us. The last time we walked here that island on the left wasn't an island; and it might disappear altogether if the water carries on rising. They say there are 426 islands in the Alqueva Lake, but the number must vary a lot according to the level of water - which is now just over two metres from being to the top of the dam.

Gratefuls:
- another helpful and encouraging Time to Grow Zoom class
- an easy - and delicious - lunch from yesterday's leftovers, sitting in warm sunshine outside
- more and more flowers everywhere
