It was a beautiful day and hardly a cloud in the sky with the towels quickly drying in the breeze and it was possible to do some gardening without feeling cold.  So this afternoon, after seldom having used the car in recent weeks, we decided to charge the battery which gave us an opportunity for a walk nine miles away.  The muddy flooded fields. rushing streams of melting snow and large branches strewn by the wayside reminded us that the weather forecast for tomorrow will be very different but today was a time of thoroughly enjoying the peaceful walk with views of the nearby hills and seeing the millions of snowdrops that lined the lanes and stream banks in the warm springlike weather.
