What bug is that?

I have to say I haven't noticed one of these in the garden before.  Doing the best I can on t'internet it would appear to be a late instar of a ladybird larva  It seems quite large to me, larger than what a normal ladybird would be.  Perhaps it is a new giant breed.   Actually, I think I have now narrowed it down to the white collared ladybird. 

Well I know that there are a lot of very knowledgable blippers out there who will point me in the right direction if I have this wrong.
