Subbuteo football team, Running Club, 1967

My writer's group has been having an online discussion about hoarding and de-cluttering. Hoarding seems to be winning as it is so easy to jettison things like books or objects that mean a lot to you. 'Why did I do that?' is often the cry. These plastic footballers, along with some completed Airfix kits, have stayed the distance. I'm so glad, because they were my handiwork. I hand painted this team in their chosen colours, and I even made them muti-racial, as they were supposed to be Brazilian team. As a child, I lost things to the auction hall, and later on to a fire, so having these guys means a lot to me. And it's a great strip!
