When ArcLight selected The years by Annie Ernaux as one of our future book group books, I decided that I should try and read it in the original French. We're not discussing it until 7th June, so there is time for me to plod my way through, dictionary at hand. If it turns out to be too difficult, I have bought the translation as backup. The two copies arrived in the post yesterday.
I made a mistake last night when I said that I had eight conference calls today: one meeting was a phone call. It's mainly been a fun and interesting day catching up on all our projects. (The non-mainly bit has annoyed me somewhat. Words will be had.)
Exercise today: none.
