Gull time

A sitting down doing all sorts of thing day.

This included 90 minutes in the morning on gull identification, a training course offered by the BTO. Small gulls this week, large ones next.

As a group, they’re not easy, lots of variation with age and time of year. I now know there are two and three year gulls, and that gulls moult twice in a year. And that the UK’s most numerous gull is not what I thought.

All those who are participating have been sent homework. Home schooling isn’t just for kids.
