Crocus

I was out this morning for a walk around a local park with a friend.  We had anticipated grey skies and very strong wind but fortunately the wind had died down.   There were many more flowers in bloom from our last visit with lots of colourful Camelias, Witch Hazel, Mimosa and these Crocus.  I had my wide angle lens with me and took a few shots for what I thought was todays theme but it seems I was a month too early, so I will return to those later.

This evening our camera club had a very good speaker, George Robertson who was showing incredible photos from his trek on the Baltoro Glacier in the Karakoram mountains of Northern Pakistan where 4 of the worlds over-8000m peaks lie.
