She’s here.

My favourite relative, Auntie Cyclone, has flown in from the Azores. With any luck she will have to stay for ten days. She has brought with her a suitcase full of sunshine and gentle breezes. And she has left the rain out in the Atlantic.

What better then than a walk in the woods which surround the base of Arnside Knott.
The woodlands are typical of all those which grow on the thin limestone soils around Morecambe Bay. Being made up of Birch, Hazel and Ash with a good number of ancient Yews, they have a special character which comes to life in the morning and evening sunlight.
