Office

After an encouraging meeting with PhD student J, my trip into Edinburgh today was shorter than usual. I'd hoped to be back for my 14:00 Office Hour, but it ended up having to take place at Mum's flat. I then had a nostalgic 20 minute wander around King's Buildings, taking its three Turf zones. Mathematicians are not permitted to enter any of the buildings, but there were a few staff and students around who are allowed into their research labs. Back home, I helped A through the final stages of her PhD application, before setting out to walk Django. At Uttershill Castle, I took its Turf zone and we admired the sky as the sun went down. The clouds then dispersed so the sunset itself was disappointing.
