Hiding

Superb Fairy-wrens (Malurus cyaneus) in the back garden.  Too far away, and a not-long-enough lens.  I took about 50 images and this was the only one close to in focus.  Of course, it had to be hiding behind a weed.

Delightful little birds, and this is only the second year wed have had them in our garden.  Plenty of them up in the Park, but rarely this far into suburbia.

Always one male and two females - this is a female.  The males have iridescent blue feathers.  There was one there, but the images were even worse than this one.
