Today I went up onto Bagshot Common again, this time with the intent of walking to Rapley Lake (which I failed to find on my last visit).  It was a glorious sunny day, and the large puddles and muddy paths had pretty well disappeared.

Around lake there was a heron busy fishing (extra), and even some cormorants enjoying the late afternoon sun. The lake was largely still with great reflections (extra). Spring is definitely in the air, and the trees are waking up, as shown by the catins catching the ling in the main image.

Now back to reality and to face the weekly shop ....
