Gold top

A dull kind of day today - very misty later on. We walked down to the town as we usually do on a Saturday to buy fish at the pier.  We passed this post box in Argyll Street the top of which has been painted gold very recently.  I have no idea who it commemorates and could find nothing on Google. I did find however that Andy Murray's gold post box in Dunblane was knocked out of the ground in July 2019 by a runaway car!

It was a very low tide today - maybe the lowest I've seen. I don't remember seeing that little rock towards top left before - there was obviously once a warning post on it - see extra.

Quote of the Day:

Tommy Cooper - "The town was so dull: one day the tide went out, and it never came back."
