The grandchildren

I’ve been enjoying my specs so much I’ve spent most of the day reading. (The Untouchable by John Banville which I’m finding wonderful).

I made a collage of two photos from yesterday - James (6) and Thomas (8) in the North Sea at Cullercoats, taken by #2 daughter. They had to cycle home to Whitley Bay in soggy pants. The other photo is Nathaniel (7) and Ella (9) on the way down the red road to Blue Mill, discussing the proposed frog funeral. He is tenderly carrying his dead frog. #2 daughter cuts her boys’ hair. When I told Nathaniel that the barbers would be open in a month he said he is never going to get his cut.
