In the footsteps of Giants

The most beautiful day, we decided to get out and about. Erstwhile blipper TJ needed some cards so we decided to deliver them on foot and take a hike over moorland and mountain to Glanlough just within our 5km one way. It was incredibly sociable, First we stopped for a chat with Annnabel and Klaus busy preparing for what they hope will be a busy summer in the Heron Gallery. Then we caught up with TJ and Roger who were pruning fruit trees and as we started for home, met Ginny and Colin also planting trees.
Going up the tiny windy and very steep road (can you see it?) we passed this rock containing Finn McCool's footprint - he of the Giant's Causeway fame. He got all over the place and was forever chucking rocks into the sea. A large but slender footprint here.
We came back cross country and met yet more people, out and about - I reckon we saw at least 20 out walking, 20 more than usual!

Now seriously wrecked and full with a delicious curry.

Part 2 of St Gobnait's peregrination is now up and running. You might need a cuppa or a stiff drink to go with it.

A day without rain - still channelling  a mellow painting sound track!
