Reliable robin

Got up really early to walk around our nature reserve.  This was a bit of a challenge as I had stayed up late watching the concluding episodes of a long series I had become obsessed with, called "The Affair."  

  There had been a hard frost last night, so the car windscreen needed a lot of scraping.  The sun was out by the time I arrived, and although it was only 8 am it was starting to get busy.
However, the birds were very quiet and decided to remain hidden for most of my visit.  The only one to make an appearance was the reliable robin.  He  never lets me down.
