Mono Monday . . . Light in Black & White

Late this morning I choose to walk at Monaco and look for some light for this challenge.  The sky was overcast but we haven't had rain yet.  The light was what I call uniform with no shadows.  I don't think that is a photographic term.  I choose this image because of the overall brightness and the contrasting very dark tree.   The boats belong to a company who take tourists to the Able Tasman  beaches.  They have striped this big boat down and will be refurbishing it.  Probably the down turn in tourists has given them the opportunity to do this work.
It was an interesting walk because the tide was nearly full and it was lapping over the road in places.  We met  a chatty couple and he told me it is a 4.5m tide today and it is the highest one this month.  Monaco is a peninsula that pokes out into the Waimea Estuary and this is were the forester lauched his boat from on Saturday.  Today the launching ramp was under water and the little jetty had water lapping the boards.
Thank you Isbi for hosting today and the Mondays for this month look very interesting.
