She's a bit non-plussed at me being in the hen run, but not bringing food with me! I was in there giving it a bit of a mucking out and taking away the old sprout stalks.

She is a bit of a character and is always keen to peck at my boot laces, the zip on my jacket and my rings! Definitely something of the magpie about her!

The more time you spend with hens, the more interesting they are. Watching them investigating anything new you put in their house or run is fascinating. The bravest hen is not the top of the pecking order, but as soon as something has been checked out, the boss will take over!
