Shelduck

A grey and misty morning once more, this afternoon brings brighter fare!

A trip to M&S food this morning for some supplies and then a stop off at Canvey wick nature reserve, and a walk along the canvey sea wall which proved to be very fruitful at low tide.  We spotted Shelducks for the first time, along with Curlews, various godwits, oystercatchers and avocets. More to tick off the 'seen' list.  This bird watching lark never fails to make you smile does it!  Taking photos of them never fails to make me swear sometimes though!! They always seem to choose to fly off as I'm mid focus.... they know don't they!!
