The goddess Hygeia as I’ve never seen her before. St Bernard’s Well, photographed from Dean Gardens, which I’d not visited before, but which I was able to see courtesy of meles today. We saw lots of expected items, such as spring flowers, and some curiosities, including this fungus. It’s apparently Sarcoscypha coccinea. What a curiosity.
After a wander around the Gardens, I visited George Bowers the butcher, and took as much meat home for the freezer as I could carry!
In the end, a half day off turned into more like one third, or even a quarter.... But it was lovely to see and natter with M.
