1999

I've not noticed this plaque before but I stopped near it to sort out my sounds and mask before I went into Sainsbury's. 1999 is a long time ago, I wonder whether life is turning out in the way those children imagined it might on that day in June. I'm also intrigued to know what they might have included in the time capsule. It was the year that the Euro was established as were the new Scottish Parliament and Welsh Assembly. On the day that this was buried Screaming Lord Sutch died and Jonathan Aitken was a week into his gaol sentence for perjury.
