Wallington

We woke up to snow on the ground and Cheviot, on the border, at 2600 ft and is totally covered.

We had an “accidental” meet with Andrea and Pete at Wallington NT property. The cycle track is not in use just now so we walked the 6 miles round, stopping for our flasks of coffee and the tea loaf I had taken. It was a lovely quiet walk till we got back to the river and the bit nearer the house where more people were admiring the crocuses.

I think the NT should ban dogs till their owners are trained to take the poo bags to the bin. Other than that it was a lovely change - we both drove 12 miles which might be in our fluid and uncertain rules.

Politics was a topic of conversation of course - I was interested to hear from a fellow Blipper that applications to join the SNP have increased since the FM had her 7 hour interrogation. We were all cross that we taxpayers we are paying out over £300,000 for Priti Patel’s bad behaviour. That won’t get the publicity the Scottish enquiry is getting - or the headlines and front page given in the Daily Fail about how Megan should respect the Queen.
