Stepping stones

We met #2 daughter and family at Wallington this afternoon. It was busy with families and a boy James played with when they were at nursery was there - so they weren’t the only ones to drive from Whitley Bay. We are advised to stay at home and exercise locally.

It was great to see the boys - the first time in over 2 months. Thomas had lots of chat about no longer getting history at school for now. It is Geography’s turn so he told me all about volcanoes (which made a change from Romans). James found a flint so told me about Stone Age people. It was great to have their chat.

We walked just about 10000 steps and hung about a lot when they played on the adventure stuff. Strange it was all open and the Cragside play areas not.

Katy has reacted to yesterday’s jab so I doubt they’ll be meeting us for our planned walk tomorrow. She says she has won the Bingo of possible side-effects.
