Rodents rule

Dreich

The morning was all fog and the afternoon dreich. We walked up to Crystal Palace in the fog (no views of the city from Norwood Park today) to see the dinosaurs, then got soaked on the way home from the drizzle. It wasn't a joyful walk but we'd got out and about. And it's always lovely to see the dinosaurs, especially when the ducks paddle around them and the pigeons perch on their heads.

The black-and-white cats visited the garden and watched the birds. Juno watched the cats from the kitchen windowsill. He doesn't seem angry with the visitors, but he's possibly miffed that the youngsters are in his territory. He seems to be tolerating their presence. They're certainly giving the pigeons the runaround.

After fish and chips, we watched two episodes of The Terror, which is very well done. When I edited a book on mummies, I remember being haunted by the images of John Torrington, the first to die on the Franklin expedition. He was remarkably intact when exhumed in 1984.
