The Teapot Hole!

I'm busy working on a new Euan Adventure.  This one is to help him to remember his visit to us in December and January.  Euan was getting very good at going up and down the stairs and we always had to pause on this step and note the hole in the wall, made when Grandad Tony dropped the teapot down the stairs!  Our stairs are not made for tall folks, so Euan also required us to say, 'Please Mind Your Head!'   It was a regular and comical ritual.

As I write the sun is finally emerging on to what has been a chilly day, so I think we will be heading out for a run soon.

If you have BBC Sounds I can recommend today's Radio 4 'Rewinder' programme with Greg James which was particularly entertaining.  He seeks out programmes from the radio archives with stories to tell.  There were several enjoyable moments; Dolly Parton responding to heckling; Elsie Lewis from Leeds describing what it was like to share a toilet with neighbours and my favourite, Commander Stevens on a 1941 'Children's Hour', refusing to award a poetry prize (despite over 2000 entries) because none of them were really poems!
