Call The Superstar Tradesman

I've had better and more straightforward days if I care to be honest. Drain jetting was going well until I realised the downstairs WC was on a different soil pipe than the upstairs bathroom and en suite. Had to strip out the cistern, bowl, cabinet and isolate water to access soil pipe, should be straightforward...pushed drain jet down stack pipe and all went well with it disappearing like a turbo charged toilet snake until it came to a solid halt, mmm...wiggle wiggle and waft of unreal stech coming up pipe. Upon pulling back up the level of water dropped to let me see to bottom of soil pipe which was about six inches deep with stones and the rubber seal clearly visible where the pipe has collapses.

Cleaned up sanitised area and will be contacting NHBC on Monday to get a claim against defective workmanship. Reading the blurb still have six years warranty remaining so shouldn't be an issue. Failing that it's some graft to lift a ten foot length of monobloc, dig three foot trench to pipe and make good.

'Superstar tradesman, stand at the bar
Get a trade son you will go far
You have a house in the ferry and a new guitar
That's never been played before and it never will
Never been played before and it never will'
