Hucking Woodland Trust

Such sad news about a fellow blipper, loveeveryminute, who lost her son and grandchildren in a horrific road traffic accident in the last couple of days.

I don’t have the words to express how both her and her daughter in law must be feeling, if indeed they are feeling anything at all.

I don’t follow loveevryminute, but I know some of you do. She is part of the great blip family and we are all bound to feel diminished by such a loss.

It’s hardly appropriate to write about our day, suffice to say we had an enjoyable walk up on the North Downs and Hucking Woodland Trust following trails Susan used to ride when she had her own horse.

The Trust are part of some interesting work helping to identify Ash trees that are resistant to die back and also experimenting with varieties of our native trees that grow in more southerly parts of Europe which may reflect the climate conditions here in decades to come.
