Spent the morning looking for some holiday accommodation in the Lake District for June. It's not easy. Everywhere seems to be getting booked up fast.

We went for a 7 km walk over the moor this afternoon. Spotted a group of seven lapwings. They were in the same field last weekend. Never seen them in the area before. The photo was taken at a distance on my pocket camera.

I do prefer the name peewit as I was in the Peewit Patrol in the scouts many decades ago.
