Slow progress

I continued with my mammoth job in the garden getting rid of the low hedge. Here are the remains of four more stumps with white pebbles and weed mat stuck in the roots. It’s very heavy so I need to put only a small portion in the weekly garbage so I’m pleased I haven’t finished. But...I’ve done a quarter of the job and put in new soil and compost and even planted a ground cover sedum in one spot.

Another job was to plant a banksia Ericifolia in the large pot that I had a fig tree in. I needed a nap after all that activity.

Both James and our visiting dog went home so it’s all quiet here again. Bob is busy in the caravan building a lightweight frame to cover the new battery and heater. A good weekend.
