Down by the river

One of my favourite city walks is to head down to the River Torrens close by the zoo. There’s a lot to see in that corner of the city. Swans, geese and ducks on the river, parrots, and flying foxes hanging in the trees.

Had a longer lens and was able to get this great shot of three flying foxes. In the late afternoon most of the colony were asleep but one or two, like this fella, were starting to wake and stretch their wings.
