Rushing to School

Feeling better this morning, after yesterday's headaches and chills.  It was a great sign of the road map out of lockdown seeing pupils heading to school from the study window this morning.

I was attending the Staffordshire health protection board this morning which brought even better news with a further lowering of positive case levels in the local area.  We are returning to levels not seen since September last year.  We must hope the return to schooling doesn't coincide with levels going back up again.  I have a definite feel that we are in a better place this time around; over 22,000,000 people have had at least their first vaccination; community testing is much more advanced; track and trace can handle this level of infection and I didn't have a single outbreak to investigate over the weekend while on Covid duty.  We still have a long way to go and it isn't time to relax, but at least things are going in the right direction.
