Flanders Moss

A dull, grey, uneventful wander around a nature reserve (a peat bog) appealingly advertised as '...a vast expanse of all things damp and wonderful...' this afternoon. Not another soul in sight, but then again neither was there any bird or wildlife, and the views towards the hills and mountains were curtailed due to the low cloud. Still, I'm sure I'll be back some other time to get my fill of the promised wonderful damp experience.

The highlight of the walk though was when Euan misread the big info panel at the entrance to the reserve. He was under the impression we were of on a giant deer hunt as he proclaimed we were to look out for the 'Flanders Moose'. It was an easy mistake to make I suppose.
