In the Shadow of the Red Rose

Rest and Be Thankful Day ... again ... and, today, I am really grateful for RaBTD! I won't tell you why ... but yesterday's blip may hold a clue ... !

I was slowly tidying up late this afternoon and decided it was finally time to remove the beautiful (but fading) red rose I was given on Valentine's Day (I blipped it then, too!) when I spotted the shadows cast from the light above on to the now wide-open petal formation.

So, continuing a pink-red theme from yesterday, today's close up shot is by way of a send off to my fading red rose, now a shadow of its former self but beautiful just the same.
