Abstract Thursday: Mysterious

At our camera club meeting on Tuesday we had a Zoom talk from a local photographer who specialises in abstract/impressionist photography coupled with pretty drastic Intentional Camera Movement (ICM). He's very much influenced by Turner's landscapes, . Most of us at the club thought his images were amazing although one or two were turned off by them. I guess that's the way with art. If you're interested, take a look at his website here.

I reckoned that some of the techniques he showed us could be helpful for Abstract Thursday blips, so when I saw that Ingeborg's chosen theme for today's AT challenge is "mysterious" I thought this was a good chance to have a go. This blip is a combination of 3 images - the next-door house, a tree and a laurel bush, with a considerable dollop of experimental fartnarkling. Although you can make out a window and a door (and the chimneys - just about, anyway) I reckon it holds a fair bit of mystery too. My Editor thought the door & window look a bit like teeth: I'll be interested to know what fellow blippers see in it.

I suspect I'll be playing with this technique again sometime!
