Nina

Here's another one of the Scott Nurkin murals of legendary jazz artists from North Carolina - Nina Simone..  This one is in Tryon in the mountains.  There is also a statue in the downtown district of Nina playing the piano.  Her birthplace is a small cabin in what is now a residential district on a hill just outside of downtown.  We travelled home from Asheville and made a diversion to see this mural.  

For some reason, I was unable to transfer my pictures onto my iPad after Sunday.  I will post backblips from Monday and Tuesday later.
