Remembrance

Received some really sad news today, that our roofer and friend Rod passed away, unexpectedly, on Monday.  He'd only just retired. A great character; he will be greatly missed.

Whilst others that we've known since moving here six years ago have died, Rod's was the first death of someone we'd felt particularly close to. 

In time, his son John will be picking up his father's tools and remembering.  They will become treasured, but still very much used, as this pair of Dad's ancient, but extraordinary sharp, pincers are by me.
