The Rum Cuillins

Bit greyer today. Our room is round the bay and overlooks the harbour. Opening the curtains this morning we saw about 30 Eider ducks in the harbour.

After breakfast we saw 4 then later 6 sea birds (will need help to identify) swimming about. It started with 1 gull but it was soon joined by more, displaying threatening behaviour towards these birds. The gulls would fly down and cause them to dive under water, then the gull would sit on the water where they had dived down. As soon as the birds came up the gulls would do it again and again.

We went down the old road and first stopped at the Silver Sands, took some photos. Then we stopped at Camusdarach of Local Hero fame and carried on to Arisaig where we stopped for coffee. Then took the single track road to Rhu where this blip was taken. You can see part of the Rum Cuillin and some of Eigg.

We went back up to Morar and headed out to Loch Morar. Unfortunately the Bogmeister fell going over some rocks and has damaged his knee in the same place as he is already getting physio. He is limping and in pain.
