Down Low

Pockets of snow remain, the lake, still frozen, shows signs of thawing along the rocks, with pools of water collecting further out. A cloudy day and not much happening in the sky, I chose to emphasize the rocks by getting down as low as possible. Thank goodness for a tilting lcd.

As a consequence of having a close subject, I shifted focus in three shots, which blended seamlessly in Photoshop for a change. Whilst in PS, I took the opportunity of using warp transform to correct distortion of buildings at the top of the frame caused by tilting down the wide angle lens.
