Aquamarine/Nanna K's Day

Salt Water!

A nice sunny non weekend day to take a walk in Centennial Park by Puget Sound just north of the city…it’s been awhile for us.   The Olympic Mountains were out and beautiful and altho it was hazier to the south, one could still just see Mount Rainier. (bottom right in collage))  Couldn’t decide so made the extra collag.: The grain elevator, blipped before from the S and from the N, the fishing pier which is still closed, I wonder why..surely they could limit numbers) and a few people enjoying the sun.   So glad we went.  The blip is some piling on the north end at terminal 91….I’ve never noticed the purple swallow  (martin?) houses before.  Didn’t see any flyings tho…It must be a fisherman up there but I can’t see the front and am not surer what he’s doing….  those mountains are peeping out tho.

One year ago today the Seattle schools closed “for two weeks” as it originally stated.   No clue how to do online learning at that point.  I can’t believe it’s a whole year for those kids at home.  They could open up soon, the teachers are finally getting their vaccines (think Oregon did the better thing by putting them ahead of seniors, but who knows…).the Union is dragging their feet, but I think they’ll start with K-5.  It’d be really good if the high schools could have a bit of in person and then a real graduation… those college acceptances keep coming in and the colleges I've read about plan to be" mostly" open in the fall.   New guidelines next week for more people allowed at kids sporting events outside, and restaurants are going to 50% capacity.  Have not done that yet, but maybe it’s coming soon!

Thanks for all the love for my knitting project…you are very kind!
