Walking in to the wind

Yet another poor night's sleep, partly due to the strong, gusty wind battering against the bedroom window for the third night running.

A brighter day today though. Applied the first coat of oil to the door of the new cupboard, and late afternoon MrM and I decided to get out for a walk, up through High Humbleton and over to the Common. Blue sky and sunshine when we set off, a ferocious, icy wind at the highest point (where the Blip was taken), and hail and rain on the way back down to Wooler. Still some snow on Hedgehope Hill (to the left) and The Cheviot (right) - not a good shot, but the light was beginning to fade, and it was difficult to stand still in the wind!

A film and a glass or two of red in the evening. It is Friday, after all!
